BENEFITS AND USES:

This medicne is indicated in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to improve glycemic control as an adjunct to diet and exercise. It can be given as monotherapy or in combination with other medicinal products indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus. This medicine may also be used in adults with heart failure (NYHA class II-IV) to reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization for heart failure. It can also be used as an adjunct to standard therapy to reduce the risk of sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, and cardiovascular (CV) death in adults with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression.

DIRECTIONS:

Take this medication exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor. It is usually taken once a day. You may take this medication before food or after food.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE?

This medication may cause the following side effects: - Urinary tract infection - Genital infection - Low blood pressure - Low blood sugar - Dehydration Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe.
