DO I NEED A PRESCRIPTION?

BENEFITS AND USES:

This medication is an anti-diarrhoeal that helps to treat diarrhea by making the stools firmer and less watery. It is usually used together with a plentiful liquid intake and usual dietary measures when these measures are not enough on their own to control the diarrhoea.

DIRECTIONS:

Take this medicine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor or pharmacist. Continue taking Racecadotril until you have 2 normal stools, not exceeding 7 days unless instructed otherwise by the doctor Take plenty of fluids to replenish the fluid lost by the body and ensure that a proper diet is followed. This medication may be taken with or without food. Do take with food if there is stomach discomfort The granules can be added to food, dispersed in a glass of water or in the feeding bottle, mixed well, and followed by immediate administration.

WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS OF THIS MEDICINE?

This medication may cause the following side effects: - Headache - Itchy skin or bumps on skin - Tonsil inflammation Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
